  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was joking but now that I think about it, it might not be a bad idea. Well maybe not a great idea but cheaper than pellets.

Do not feed it cat or dog pellets.

There are a lot of like prices fish adequate pellets.

When i first got mine, he was only about an inch and a half long and at that point in time, i fed him some of them blood worms that came frozen in cubes. he loved them. he eventually graduated up to rosies. it would be funny to watch him with them. he would have two or three tails sticking out of his mouth sometimes lol,

It depends on the Dimensions and how many other fish your going to put in with them......but I would say a 195g would be the minimum for a grown LMB.

Definitely need an open footprint. I'd rather say 300+ for a grown one. They can really move when chasing food - I won't get too far into it but LIVE FOOD is what they need. Not pellets, catfood, dogfood, pudding, beer, and whatever else these people will feed them. Sure, they'll eat it; they're hungry. But you'll have a much healthier, happier, and natural fish if you give them a proper environment and diet. :)

If you want your LMB to cohabitate with anything else, feeding it pellets is essential. A LMB that is fed live will be extremely aggressive and either kill or eat all of its tankmates.

It's great if you have a fish willing to eat peas. In my experience you can slowly trick them onto pellets this way. Keep feeding peas and slowly start offering pellets after peas. Eventually they will start to expect a pea and just swallow before realizing the difference. At this point you can usually feed 2 peas and then a pellet and slowly switch to 1 pea and then 2 pellets. Before you know it you will be able to just offer pellets and have a happy fish.
