Any one of you so far could actually have quoted Ohio law regarding LMB.Which might just suprise you if you where to do so....Instead of doing so though you insist on continuing to state that breaking a law is acceptable or better than following the "law". You have not even bothered to look at the actual laws regarding LMB in Ohio. All you continue to do is parrot out that it is OK to go against established wildlife laws and give examples how.. do you not see the stupidity of this?

BTW Focker what do you think your hero Steve Irwin would think about your disregard for wildlife law?? You think he would be cheering you on?? If I know him as well as I might by being a Naturalist and wildlife conservationist, I'd think he would kick your ***. So how about changing that avatar of yours to something more suitable.

Except for LMB being game fish it is Illegal to possess undersized and illegally caught fish...

I used to think it was my little way of sticking it to the man when I'd catch small fish to keep. Due to Polypterus' incessant complaining, I looked up the regulations and found out I'm doing nothing illegal. Thanks. LMB (or any fish for that matter) do not have a minimum size when caught at most places in Ohio. There is a daily limit, however. Here's the link:

http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/wildlife/regs/fishregs/default.htm

You have to click on the PDF link under the picture to find it though. They do have a minimum size on Lake Erie and lots of other places.

It's nice to know you're a complete and total hypocrate. Polypterus is a conservationist and trust me, there is a difference between a conservationist and a treehugger. Poly is educated and works on improving the environment for a living. If you have a problem with people who obey the law and help to improve our natural world I suggest finding a different avatar because I'm sure Steve Irwin would be insulted to know that his image is being associated with your ignorant remarks and your choice to ignore wildlife laws set in place by people like poly in order to protect the environment and it's resources. The outdoors is not your own private fish store for you to just muck around in everytime you want a new fish.

Dont know where you live in Ohio, but checkout a place called Jones Fish Hatchery. Its located outside of Cincinnati, OH. They have largemouths of ALL sizes. I bought a LMB, SMB, and some other various fish there about two years ago. http://www.jonesfish.com

Complaining about everything? No, what he has been doing is being midful of the laws and not telling people to take what they want without knowing them. You may have come across a simpathetic wildlife agent but what happens when someone like you tells someone else to go get whatever fish they want and that person gets caught and fined? I believe in giving people the information they need, I don't want people getting in trouble because I gave crap advice. If they choose to ignore that advice and take illegal fish then that's their problem but I'm certainly not going to tell them to do it. If knowone else around here is going to remind people of the laws regarding the taking of fish then I am very happy to have poly here to do it and he has contributed a heck of a lot more useful information about native fish and the laws associated with them then you have.

its called minding ur own buissness. something both of u should try.

In case you haven't noticed, I'm the moderator in this forum. Everything that goes on in here is my business.
Now, can we PLEASE get back on topic and help this guy locate a fish legally? I would hate to have to lock yet another thread. If you have any other problems take them up with me in private.
