ANOTHER NEWBIE HERE. I HAVE HAD A SMALL MOUTH BASS IN MY 125 FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS . I CAUGHT HIM IN A LOCAL RIVER , ALONG WITH SEVERAL SUNFISH. HE WOULD NOT EAT AT FIRST ,BUT SOON STARTED EATING ROSIES ,NOW HE IS EATING COMETS . HE IS ABOUT 5-6 INCHES AND VERY ACTIVE. I HAVE SOME OSCARS , BLACK FINN SHARKS, SEVERAL CATFISH AND A GREEN TERROR WITH HIM. I BEILIVE HIM TO BE A VERY ENJOYABLE
ADDITION TO MY TANK.
Find your "ctrl" key, count up two keys. Pretend there is an ant on that key. Smash it. :woot:

Guys, how about when this happens, explain why, okay?
Ozman, All caps are used as emphasis, usually because someone is angry. It is like yelling in someone's face.
Welcome to MFK. I like smallies and get them here also, they are a bit less of pigs than large mouths and more tolerant of company.

I just like the smashing ants on keyboards scenario and use it every time i have the opportunity. not that i care about caps. Thats why I always use some sort of smiley to indicate that i really dont care:)

I know Rallysman, I like the image too. I had know idea it was discourteous to use all caps until I saw it mentioned in someones post so I figured I might not be the only onle not well versed in Netspeak.
Sage, I don't know about Ca. but most states allow the keeping of legally taken game fish that adhere to the size limits, you need a fishing liscense to catch them or a tranfer reciept from someone who has one, most states have the form in their hunting and fishing regulations booklets, just fill it out and keep it on file. Undersized gamefish are considered poaching.

i've heard that wild caught fish can bring unusual diseases into your tank so becareful.....after all your bringing a wild caught creature that has been in a dirty and diseased envirnoment for some time and your putting him in an aquarium with your fish who some have never enjoyed the freedom of a lake or stream

Heh. Just about any aquarium would be a major upgrade for some of the areas where I plan on collecting my natives (when I build my tank that is...). Unless of course you consider raw sewage spills, chemical plant spill off, leaching from one of the largest superfund sites, and road-drainage, not to mention a very small forage base living in fantasict natural conditions.
