A few shots of my store, we did all of the work ourselves, looks very similar to your graphics!

These were taken very early on, like the first weeks, so the fish stock level is very low.

2 x 4's Primed and then coated in oil based paint
facia is oak ply wood, the doors are 3/4" the rest is just 1/4"
sorry, no plans
I kept the legs on the inside, between the tank sections so that they would not be in the way of the plumbing. Underneath the bottom row (I could not find a pic, sorry) are the sumps, plywood boxes lined with pond liner and connected by bulkheads.
Tanks are 20H's and 40L's, they are identical height and 2x20's = a 40, so I could move them if I wanted to and actually do from time to time. All tanks are drilled. and lighting is built in, I have since converted lighting to CFL's with reflectors, basically a octogon box with a universal bulb cover and a CFL light bulb with a piece of Mirro mounted over each bulb.

fish-master,
all of those examples are pretty cool right? and your drawings were pretty cool too. if i was you, i would use that first drawing you did, cuz if you use all larger tanks, you can always separate them! but if you use smaller ones, you cant make them bigger lol

That is a big ass store! Respect!

well i just worked out the demotions of my room and i can only fit the unit in a 80" door way, so i can only build it 79" unless i build it in levels and ensemble later on in my room but thats to much work, so right now it looks like it's going to be only 20 gallon long tanks. unless i fell the need to go higher. my room is only aboout 90-100" tall.

i will have pics up when i start. i have to wait till later on this year to do it though, i have to save up about $1500(low estimate) to be able to build and finish it. i still have to finish my 29 gal. i sold a 100gal awhile back for 500, spent most of that though

The cheap way is to build or buy a suitable shelving unit, and then fill it with second hand tanks. Use air driven sponge filters. They are cheap and very effective. They will allow you to add and move tanks on the fly (of course, you have to have them cycled ahead of time.)

Btw, I dumped about $200 into Tha Bait Shack. The wood was reclaimed and free.

yeah but where i live and the cost of things you have to consider, plus i am only 15 and have a crappy paying job. i can get 10 gallons for 10 bucks at wal-mart. but i would rather go with 20 gal long, i could go with like 55/40 gallon tanks but they would have to be special ordered and i would only be able to keep to of them, i like keeping a lot of different fish, i might be able to use some 55's and 30 gals together, i would just have to see.

i am a fan of longer tank, 30x12x12 or 48x18x18, i hate tall tanks, fish don't swim up, they swim side to side. i just nee to see what i got first. i do have like 4 months for finish the designing of it. i have to make it in wood shop. i have a small room also. like 10x10x7 so it's no realy that big, in

honestly i might make two different ones, i will draw up a new sketch. and thank you for all your help guy's so far i am hoping the guy with the huge store can get up some more pics.
