I hope so.

He seems to be perking up a bit. Hasn't eaten yet, but seems to be in better spirits.

He spent yesterday trying to spoon with my 14" Wide Bar Dat. I was worried she was going to go nuts and kill the GT, but all is well. She was definitely confused at first, but eventually got used to him.
 
He's not doing too well. I dont think He's gunnu make it....:(


I'm doing a 50% water change now, but I dont think It's gunnu help. The water was pretty clean to begin with


Maybe Him being in a small tank with horrible water quality for so many years and then going into my tank with all that room and good water might have stressed him out...?
Whatya think? He didnt seem like he had a fighting spirit when I got him.....
 
pH shock maybe? I've heard of that happening, fish in a tank, no wc, pH gets down around 4.0, you get them in decent water and it shocks them.
 
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. He's acting like a fish that was tossed in a tank with chlorine in it. Must be shock. To go from the crappy tank, to the store, then to my tank in such a short period of time. I acclimated him, but I don't think it made a difference. My water was pretty much the same as the lfs's.

I got home from a crappy day at work, walk in the front door and see the fish belly up. So I run to drain the tank out the back to do a water change and find out someone tried to break into my back door while I was gone.
Hasn't been a good day...

That sucks I was hoping to see what he looked like when he got better. Thieves suck too.

good stuff dude/ but i thought it would be a female cuz at that size, wouldnt the fish have a bigger hump? > Im ASKING
