Without any flow all it would do is cloud the water and take up the little space they have. The pacu have started swimming around more every once and a while but it's really off and on. All other fish are doing well including an Oscar and 2 16 inch plecos that are in the same container as the pacus. I have several other tanks and all my other fish are doing well except for a sun/eclipse catfish that has been swimming near the surface a lot and spinning around like he has a swim bladder issue but I think it's from the constant temperature changes and he should be fine, as my redtails and shovelnose catfish are all fine

Good to hear they are doing better. I was thinking the bio will help keep ammonia down. Even without flow the contact time will help.

Just got up for the morning and both pacu are dead. Last night they both were barely alive but I did all I could. Really stinks cuz they are about 14 inches and the size of a dinner plate and I got then when they were the size of a nickel. On the bright side I have a baby tsn coming in the mail and I'm picking up a small clown knife in the next couple weeks and I can get a small pacu as a tank mate for them while they grow. The petstore I go to is about an hour from my house but they do have small pacu
