Thanks for the info.akskirmish;4450875; said:my 23 inch pacu is housed with many smaller fish...Never harmed anyone of them....Smallest would be 6 inch gold severum.......Been housed with everything under the sun for the last 5 years......wide variety of tank mates......
Of course my big boy is docile as well......But certainly not afraid to push if being pushed.......
It's what I do.akskirmish;4450885; said:Get that SOB and show it some love.....thats horrible looking....
I've heard bad stories as well, but I'm hoping that doesn't end up to be one, lol.BlackShark11k;4450891; said:Hmm I've heard many stories about pacu picking on tankmates as well as a few crazy pacus randomly killing tankmates. When I had mine they were incredibly skittish... I don't think you would have much of a problem with it tho given the size of your pond/

He will be dropped off tomorrow.
More pics at the rescue thread then. (Link in my sig.)

you should be just fine by adding himHoyo12;4447853;4447853 said:Not too long ago I got an email for another rescue. And as you should already have an idea as to what it is, it's also fairly large. About 20", which isn't exactly huge, but still a good size.
Now, I recently setup a 2,614-Gallon pool, which I'd rather call an indoor pond, lol, for the large rescues. He would have plenty of room to roam.
The problem? Parents. lol
They are both worried about adding him to the pond, and having him pick on the others already settled in the pond, because of their "small" size.
Stock:
6x Oscars 7"-13"
2x Eclipse Catfish 7"-8"
1x Channel Catfish 12"
2x JD's 7"-9"
and one 16" Long Nose Gar.
All are doing fine together, and also get enough food.
I have cared for Pacu before, so this isn't anything new for me, other than the size. (Had mine up until 10")
Do you see any major problems with the large size of the Pacu, and the others in the pond?
This whole thing saves the life of this Pacu, no pressure or anything, lol.(Owner's 2nd option is to kill it. Came across my site just in time.)
Hopefully getting pics tomorrow.
