What Plecos next to the common, adonis, and sailfin can grow really large and be able to live with oscars? I understand lots of the L numbers don't get as large. I like how they look but I wont put a little pleco in that tank even though the oscars are still babies. The Royal? Any suggestions? FYI I exclude the top three cause I already have those ones.

Royal Panaques (L190) get up to 18", the Broken-Line/Dull Eyed Royal Panaques (L191) get about 9". Both are real broad headed and do excellent with Oscars (assuming the Oscar will accept a Plec at all). They completely mind their own business. The one problem I had with a Royal in with my Oscars was the fact that Plecs are noctural and he seemed to spook the Oscars at night just by moving around looking for food. That was only a problem with the 1 pair of Oscars, the other pair were fine and didn't seem to be bothered at all.

any pleco can live with an oscar, oscars are big pussies

I have a foot+ albino gibby in my 180 with my ft+ sunshine Os. Never had any problems in the past 3 years.
I had a Titanic Panaque that I kept with cichlids. The cat and cichlids ignored each other's presence for the most part. The cichlids would only scoot out of the way when the 3ft Panaque barreled on by.

Hello, Mastervin. So we meet again, eh?
As long as the pleco does not fit into your O's mouth on entering the tank, things will work out fine.
How big are your other plecs at the moment?
I really want to see some pics!
I love big plecos!

Theres lots of exotic species that can grow to that size with Oscar.

I currently have a chocolate pleco, Royal pleco and Blue + Green Phantom.. they do fine.. but my tank is big with the Oscar...

150gallon..

But exotics are the hardest ones to find..

While I do agree they're pushovers for the most part there's more than a few Oscars that won't put up with a Plec. 1 out of my 6 Oscars will pick a Plec's fins off, won't leave him alone. Yet he completely ignores even the smallest of Loaches, other Cichlids & Silver Dollars. Fish don't read books.
Although I get the impression the OP has had a Plec in with the Oscar already.

Any Pterygoplichthys will get over a foot (Sailfin belongs to this group).

Also an overlooked one is the
Zucchini Pleco. I heard they can reach 30 inches. I had 2-3 before, but died quite young at only 12 inches (the longest one).

Nice long fish, with not to much bodymass!
Never seen them for sale where I live though.
