Large Plecos?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i appreciate ur help n i will get u some pics. the oscars n plecs r all still babies but i love big too n am lookin forward to the turnout. i really do like the royal pleco though n some have advised against it due to the price if the oscars do decide to have dinner but I think it's worth the risk if I buy him big enough. the oscars r still small

personally, i'd be looking for a nice big L25, these get big too, seen 1 that was easily 16" and stunning.
these are carnivores too so no probs if you feed the oscars high protein foods which could cause problems with panaques

i had a small orange spot pleco that got gobbled up by my oscar... i have a larger chocolate pleco right now about 8 inches, no problems

Any Pterygoplichthys will get over a foot (Sailfin belongs to this group).

Also an overlooked one is the Zucchini Pleco. I heard they can reach 30 inches. I had 2-3 before, but died quite young at only 12 inches (the longest one).
