I am thinking of adding maybe a group of 3 Aristochromis Christyi to my 6 ft tank in my signiture, The main part of my tank is my coleny of Frontosa i will not be keeping them all as the males start to mature i get rid of most of them keeping maybe 2-3 males in the group.

Do you think Aristochromis Christyi would be fine with them and the other fish?

Get a Neolamprologus Christyi instead

I don't think they fit in thier for life, and i don't have the kind of money to buy them. would love to one day

Get Tanganyikans then, I hate mixing lakes: Lobochilotes Labiatus, Ctenochromis Horeii...

I remember seeing a setup a few years ago, a "community" Tanganyikan: had Frontosas, Cyprichromis, Leleupi, shell dwellers, really well balanced rockwork and stock.

I'll try to dig it out, but your 6x3x2 would be perfect.

Have you considered Tetracanthus with the Fronts, they can be quite predatory with smaller fish but they are a stunning tank.

A shoal of Leptosoma in any Tang tank is a must, they really encourage the rest of the fish into the open water.

I've a 6*2*2 Tang Community

7 Tropheus Kaiser
7 Leilupi
3 Lamprologus Brevis
2 Juli Transcriptus
2 Juli Regani
2 Ventralis
1 Syno
2 Compressiceps

Very understocked at present, will be adding Leptosoma soon and maybe something unusual.
