Those get a little big for a 55g tank.

what I would do is look at some schooling barbs (like aurelius barbs or filamentosa barbs) that are nice looking and active, but only get 3 inches or so.

thought filamentosa barbs get to 7" ... ive seen a 5" myself wit my own eyes

i said tinfoils, but this is before i read it was a 55. i skimmed it.
the spotted silver dollars never seem to get bigger than 4" in my experience. u could use those?
