I have been growing live plants in a 90 gallon for a while but i want to add some large schooling fish to the tank. But most large schooling fish will snack on the live plants in the tank and eventually demolish all the work i have put into the growing of the plants. Any help i appreciated.

Thanks josh

How long is the tank? Congo tetras are larger schooling fish, ive got a fair few that have broken the 5inch mark and still growing. They need to be in a large mixed sex group and have plenty of space to dart about (hence needing a long tank) or they can get very nippy and feisty. But they (in my opinion) are the most stunning freshwater fish you can buy, there colours can get surreal! Something smaller? My bro has over 20 lemon tetras all at a good 3 inches, they look great!

Giant Danios are always a good choice. They get 4-5" and are very active at the upper most 4 inches of the tank.
