large shark tank filtration

Any chance you can go a few feet longer and wider with the tank. I think it might broaden your options. Probably worth the initial investment.

it is possible, what species would you consider to be possible with a slightly larger tank.

thanks for the information, is there any certain models you have worked with or would reccomend for the sand filter and biotower, also what would be your opinion on housing a smoothhound with bamboo sharks at a temp in the low 70s, is it even possible, i dont want to stress either species so if it's not possible i will jsut forget the smoothhound, its just i realy like their size and activity level of that shark. if there is another species that is similar thats more tropical and is suitable for my tank dimensions please let me know.

You'll be looking at pushing the temp range on one or the other. I'd be lying if I said I haven't seen it done, but not something I'd personally do.

For sandfilter, look at the mechanical filtration section from Aquatic Eco Systems. Jacuzzi is an ok brand to go with.

Bio balls/biotowers are all about surface area, so just squeeze in as large a column as you can.
