I was just woundering if there where any large interesting fish that could be kept with my two motoro x pearl hybrids. Atm i have some angels and a discus but would like to get some larger cichlids so would be getting rid of the angels and discus.

Could anyone suggest any nice fish. i have been looking at peacock bass as they look really good or pirahnas?

Any advice?

Cheers

Umm...I would definitely say the piranhas are a no go. You can't put anything with those damn things! I have seen pbass with rays but you need to have a lot of food supply. The peacock bass will eat until they literally can't shova anymore in thir mouthes. Which will make it hard for the rays to get food!

Hmm, though I don't believe you're looking for these:

The top two that come to my mind are: Arowana and Datnoids. Tig is 3rd

They'd all look nice with a Peacock Bass as well.

I have peacock bass with mine i feed mine every other day the ray comes to the top of the tank and i feed her that way. Im looking to get rid of my bass because i just want somthing diffrent. I just picked up some severums but looking for more

I'd have to say that aros might be the best tankmates for rays.Peacock bass are good too but you have to feed your peacocks real heavy first and then you can get food down to your rays.

I have had pearsei's for a while, and introduced an orbignyi.
They are peacefull and don't eat heavy, poluting food like the rays do.
my experience is that if you want to keep a calm tank pearsei's would
do great.

do not do cichlids... they are a agressive fish and will harm the rays.. Please, for the ray's, do not do cichlids....

lol, you understand there are THOUSANDS of species of cichlids, right? They vary from nearly 3ft to 1" and personality traits very from aggressive wot very passive.

Your statement was silly and based nothing in fact.

That being said, there are PLENTY of great and colorful cichlids that would work great in a stingray tank.
