Large wild Umbee pair update- The General

Yours and umbeekings, have inspired me to get an umbee myself. But i don't have the room, so i'm thinking about buying a whole setup for one.
The thing is, the only variant that is available up here is the rio magdalena. Would you pull the trigger on that variant, or should i wait for some of those "location x'" i've been hearing so much about?

Btw, have you thought about getting some 18k lights for them? They did wonders for my similar colored fish. huge difference

HrHagel- Location X wont be abundant and available to the hobby for a lil while. Chris and i are working on pairs and spawning so we can get them out there. and since we're in the states, it may be a lil longer till the location X hits Europe. If you do see a fabulous male or pair then definitely pick them up and when X comes available in your neck of the woods you can always upgrade;)
 
Love the pair and the soundtrack even more! Awesome! I've been contemplating getting another Umbee (pair) but not 100% sure I want to dedicate an entire tank to a pair.... I've cut back to 4 tanks and that's where I'd like to keep it!

No location x fry, I just have two males ATM. But I have a female from the general I'm growing out for Xtreme- my smaller X male;) still looking for an X female for the monster.
 
Male 14"+ female 11-12" and I down graded to a 125 for a minute. And thank you for the compliment:)
 
thank you. this tank is temporary, their current tank is being used for the festea colony for another month or two then theyll go back. I did buy a 300 gal pond and was thinking about using that for them but i would have to rig up a lid so they couldnt jump out... and ive been kinda lazy lately;)
