Is it a good idea to put a pleco 6-7" in my 120 gal with a 10-11" largemouth bass? Will the pleco survive or be thought of as dinner?

well first off, 120 is way too small for a lmb for life and if you want the two to coexist, make sure the pleco has lots of hiding places where the lmb cant get to. its risky but if you want to go ahead

Not going to do it. Pleco was for free; he'll stay at the pet store.....bass seems to be thriving and pretty happy in 120. Will his diet of goldfish and crayfish lead him eventually to a 240?

Provided your water quality is good and a diet of feeders dose not lead it to an early death I see no reason why your largemouth shouldn't continue to grow but I would say you're probably good for awhile with the 120g, wouldn't hurt to get a larger tank now though.
Good move skipping the plecostomus, though I honestly doubt there would have been a problem between the two unless you have a particularly aggresive largemouth.

most fish ignore pleco's. ive even seen big piranahs in with plecos. ive got a 9" gar and a 5" pbass with a 2" chocolate pleco and no one even looks at him.

LOL! keep in mind that LMB is the king of the lake, they got nothing to worried about besides a 30 pound or 40 pound catfish/striper to swallow them.

well in my state, there's no muskies and pikes nor gar :p

I guaranteed you that a pleco won't survive for long. If they can eat a baby duck a live, there's no problem eating a pleco with those spiky fins.
