Do a couple water changes per week. You can do as many water changes as you want while using melafix. Do the water changes just before you dose the tank again that day.

If he stops eating or acting lethargic is when you should start to think about using antibiotics.

And if I do end up using antibiotics, it's the Maracyn 2 that I should use?

Second day treating with Maracyn 2. Its acting pretty normal but I still don't notice any improvement on the fins. The random stingy white circles have not been effected. Im going to start treatment with regular Maracyn tomorrow for possible columnaris.

I acquired a Largemouth bass about 6 months ago and he is now about 6'' in length in a 55 gal. tank. I've been reading that it's wise to feed them pellet food while they are still very young, but my little guy won't eat anything that doesn't swim. He'll eat the occasional worm if lively enough but other than that all he wants is finfish or the very least ghost shrimp. I'm a bit concerned about him as he has had signs of HITH that have been successfully treated thankfully, but I know he needs a better diet and was wondering how to wean him off of the garbage he's gotten so used to. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
