I have a baby largemouth bass and would like to know whether i can house another fish with it? I have been told that i can house an Oscar with it is this true?

Yeah its true but how big is the Bass? You can keep a number of species of fish with them but remember that Bass get big and will eat anything.

Thanks. and thanks for the quick reply!! the bass is about 4 inches at the moment, i was thinking of getting 1 oscar for it roughly the same size but could you name a few other fishes i could house with it?

Thanks michael

Like i said there is a number of fish you can keep, you just have to make sure that the fish are at least 3" long because your bass will eat anything that will fit into its mouth. Mine are mixed right now with sunfish that are to big to fit into there mouths and i have a channel cat in there but this is a native tank, i have had them mixed with a pair of Texas chiclids and JDs, plecos, a lg Tilipia but had to move them out because the Bass was becoming King of the tank, that was like a yr ago now all my natives live in a indoor pond eating of convicts as food

ok thanks, do you feed all your fish seperately?
I was thinking of housing the bass 1 oscar and a peco together would this be fine and how would i feed them all?

No, i feed them together, i am still trying to hand feed my bass now that they are in an indoor pond, it was easier in the fish tank but since i moved them its been harder. Your fish will be fine together but you will have to get a bigger tank for them later on. I feed mine convict chiclids since they breed quite quickly, the plecos sinking pellets but you can feed them really anything you want, the oscar and bass will have seperate territorys so the bigger the tank the better. Did you catch the bass?

yes i caught it at a small river near my friend i am currently keeping it in a 30 gallon tank and its eating guppies, crickets and this small other fish from the river, it loves the tank and always darts through the bubbles from the air stone. the oscar i want to get is also 4 inches and an albino tiger oscar.
