largemouth bass

well i have a 100 gallon aquarium thats fully cycled and good to go. i have been looking for somewhere to buy a largemouth bass for the tank - can anyone help me out?

try to see if a local breeder can spare a fingerling...depends on the local regs too

why largemouth? if ordering online and you want a bass....check out tangled up in cichlids, snookn 21 or shark aquarium....i believe they all have peacock bass for sale.

IMO lrg. mouth are a waste of an aquarium...peacock bass are a much nicer, cooler and more aggressive bass. No reason wasting a tank stocking it w/ dull lrg. mouth.

I think that LMB are very ugly fish,especially compared to peacock bass but if this is what he likes then to each his own.

I prefer LMB over peacocks just because they are natives and have a connection to my life of fishing. It has nothing to do with being pretty. Theyre interesting fish that get huge and have personality to match.

dude go to a pond and catch a little dink and put it in your tank!! yeah you are going to have to upgrade though.

Good points,it's all about what the individual likes.I read on one of the sub forums that the small mouth behaves more like a pet fish than the large mouth does.

check your local laws first, but i would attempt fishing like mentioned above. ive heard LMB can be pretty expensive.
