down here in Baltimore,MD we call them rockbass but i just learned something new... ima look into that a little more.....nice pics

All the warm mouths I catch are red/orange. It looks like a green sunfish to me. Best kept in a frying pan.

its a green sunnie.
Though it is possible for black bass to breed with sunfish, I was surprised to find out. You can't get them too do it naturally though, it must be done artificially

thats a war mouth bass we have them there somtimes labled as rock basses or sunfish

i think people from different parts of the US call fish different names. i also believe rock bass, blue gill, green sunfish, sunfish, pumpkin seed, and warmouth hydridize among themselves and can be combos
