bass are territorial and the little ones will get picked on all the time. Bass are also one of the smartest fish that I've seen, when they know food is coming they chase the weaker ones out of the way so they'll get first dibs.
If you let that 14" bass go just a bit hungry, well you can kiss those little 2" and 3" inchers goodbye. Bass eat anything they can fit in their mouth, even other bass too. I suggest just selling/giving that 14" guy away and start over with the little guys. I know it might be hard to do it but either upgrade or don't add little fish with him.

the little ones wouldnt last a second in there I say out with the old in with the new.....
