arapaimag, that dovii is a monster  :headbang2

this is mine only monster cichlid, i've had him for probably half a year already (was around 9"SL when i got him) i think he's grown more but haven't bothered measuring, i'm just happy he's not as shy anymore... pics :)

I have 3 Dovii ranging from 3"-4" and 3 Umbee 2.5"-3.5" growing out in seperate 38's hoping to get a male of either species for my 180 and newly aquired 220. I'd like to also point out "wow" that is some serious humpage on your dovii...Absolutely incredible......

Can't wait to see the new pix

Thanks for the great pics of your dovi he is fantastic.

Mine is big but you can see he is getting and acting old. He always looks thin except for the day he wolfs down 6 to 8 five inch smelts and a few other snacks. He has had hole in the head on three seperate occassions but always recovers after a few months.

His game now is to bother a couple of breeding red devil pairs in the tank. He loves to swim through their swarm of young ones and scatter them everywhere. The devils can't stop him he is just too big.

MARI, pretty fish. I have quite a few fish that will become quite big. dovii, umbee, snook.... i think grommodes get pretty big... not to sure. i'll post some pics soon as i figure out how too :). I have owed a pair of orange pikes when i lived in michigan that were 9" and 8" but had to sell when i moved recently and start over. my biggest fish now are my oscars of corse, cant stop them from growing about 6" in less then 4 months with no feeder fish what so ever. i'll get on some pics i have a million.

anyone know how to shrink files? mine are too large it happens.
