Either you have the hands of a giant and that is the biggest 5-gallon bucket and gatorade bottle on Earth or that fish is not nine pounds.

Here is a big bass I caught that was a measured 24"TL and I guess between 8-10lbs. Notice how large the fish's mouth is compared to my fist even though they are exactly the same distance from the camera?

Yes, my hands are not the biggest in the world, but I could easily fit my fist in that fish's mouth with around .5" to spare on all sides!

The fish pictured is a great bass dont get me wrong but I would be shocked if it went over 5lbs.

I do regret letting her go, she should have gone on my wall. Im sure since the pond I caught her out of is only about 200yrds long and 100yrds wide and heavily pressured, she is on some one else's wall by now. :(

I once again call B.S.. There are smallies in Florida. We even have them here in Hawaii and heres the proof.

There are no smallies in FL. There are the Suwannee bass, Coosa bass, LMB, and MAYBE isolated populations of spotted bass, but no smallies.

Those smallies can live in Hawaii as I assume they are from streams running from the top of the mountains so they are cooler. Streams in Florida are usually slow and meandering thus having warmer temps, no good for SMB
