yea im from Long Beach (near LA) and we had waterspout warnings, hail and thunder storms last night (aside from the pouring rain). i have an old standard 10 gallon tank sitting outside, and this morning i went outside and it was more than half full of rain water. crazy weather
 
101 is the best route for now... It's long in mileage, but short in travel time!!!
 
R1 Pm me, how do i get to your place from 101, seems like 101 is my route for now, unless I hear differently tonight.

This is actually the best advise... I would postpone my trip if I was you. Even no road closure, there are plenty of accidents waiting to happen in this kind of weather. It only take one sudden brake, and you can get a pile-up... If R1 can wait, I'm sure others can wait, too

It's in the freezer so the clouds are Grey =-(
