Right now I have a 125 gallon tank, with a home made canopy with 6, 60 watt [I believe 10,000k] daylight bulbs in the fixtures. They are evenly placed. My question is, why have I never had any luck growing plants before? I keep my water at 82, and even add ferts as well. My swords eventually turn brown and just rot away, and many of my other plants do this too. Nothing every looks a lush green and healthy. I would assume my lighting needs a change. Is it the light that's "burning" them?

I'm lost guys, haha. I just want to be aaaaaabsolutely sure that don't need to use CO2.

Thanks!

i think it's the lighting. i would replace with a shop light and buy some t8s or t10s grow lighting. but im no expert so...

It is your lighting. The bulbs are not 10,000K. Those look like 3500-4500K. If you want to use CF bulbs, then get daylight bulbs, which would be 6500-6700K bulbs.

The picture you supplied... does the color of the bulbs match to what you see in person?
