so im getting a 80g tank and in my 10g i have fish heads after feeding and parts on the bottom the tank. i have a baby black fin shark 2", a long fin bichir 5", a pleco 3" one giant snail (golf ball size), and 5 new tiny snails (bb size dont know if they r going to make it) but i need some thing to clean up the fish parts left after feeding so i dont have to do it i get bored waiting for the bichir to get finished eating and the sark isnt big enought to do it for me. So my question is what can i put in my tank that will clean up the mess for me i hate the fish parts getting stuck in my gravel filter so will a couple of crabs or a medium sized lobester do it or some thing along those lines?

Oh and post pics of your suggestions so i know what they look like when i buy it cuz most of the fish stores around here label there stuff wrong!

Thank you,
Kevin

thats a good idea too i guess but i still want a crab or a cray or a lobester too what would u recomend?

k so if i can i either want a coulple of crabs or 1 or 2 crays either a tiger or a blue or both if they wont fight in my tank its 48"x18"x21"=80g so u tell me best idea

Crabs/crays will not be a good tankmate for a bichir (especially longfin). If the crays/crabs are smaller, he will eat them. If the cray/crab is bigger they will damage or kil the bichir

I think a blue lobster would be fine for a polypterus, I wouldn't try a tiger though. Tiger lobsters only get 4" and they are very small, blues can probably get 7" and they're very bulky. (if your poly is a senegal or dehezis, it would be bad with ornates, endli's, etc...)

A yabby might be better

my poly is a senegal and hes only 4-5 inches so hes small

se because o what he said im kinda edgy about a cray now but a yabby it they arent really agressive against my snails i'll try and put it in the tank it is really wide and i figure if i leae enough roomw for them both to hide then i shouldnt have to many problems

Don't snails often overpopulate in aquariums? So maybe the yabby could also help keep the snails in control too.
