nice fish and pics bro
Thank you

Great series Zach. Great shots and specimens, especially the Lyonsi.
Thanks Brent. You're one of the guys that got me inspired to photographing my stock. I remember going back to the threads when first started and looking at the progression of your shots. Your entire catalog is awesome. This summer i plan to get out and do some landscape shots.

I have several panamensis growing out and hopefully they turn out as nice as yours. Mine are between 1 to 1.5 inch, not quite sexable, but I will use your pics as guide.
Give em another inch or so and they'll be ready to make babies. The females will have a black blotch in the dorsal.

what kind of setup are you shooting with?

I'm just using a nikon D5100 and two nikon sb600 speedlites. My lenses vary between a 35mm, 50mm, and 55-200mm. I use the 55-200 most of the time because i can sit far back and catch the fish in a more natural behavior. This summer i plan to upgrade to a D600 or D800.

Thank you

Nothing complicated there. I need some speedlights tho! I have a d3100
