Li, I find it a coincidence that this thread is all of a sudden bumped from last September to now. Could there be a reason for this? Maybe you really wholeheartedly show an interest in Joey's japonicus but I find it funny how you downplay it's value after finding out that it's no longer in Joey's possession.

What species do you consider semi-rare in the hobby so I have a good comparison? I'm sure if they were semi-rare, you would have no problems producing at least a few updated pics from the "few folks" you know, right? I would love to see them...

Thanks...

Semi-rare... its all depend from person to person... example a M.tigrinus might be semi-rare to some people while its just another fish for other.

my semi-rare is a sub $500 fish. and i been offer before. simple as that.. im not downplay its value..

and please dont make assumptions that there is only one japonicus left in the us... unless you work at the customs ... ;)

Are they really that rare? Only one in the whole country. Must be worth a pretty penny. Congats DonH.:nilly: :headbang2

Well there have been a couple sent over by a certain individual(I may not have the whole story but I think I do) and received by another individual over here about 10 months ago. Don may be the only one left with one of these awesome Lates.

How would US Customs know if there is only one Lates japonicus left in the US?
