Latest batch of golden dorado at Predatory Fins - can these be true brasiiensis?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I agree with him where he states that the young Dorado eat a lot of bugs because I fed my trio gut loaded super worms from the day I got them along with cut raw fish and carnivore pellets. I received mine in Feb at 12" +/- and now they are easily hitting 18/19" and all three are growing at the same rate but I do see an alpha in the group that pushed the other two away but for obvious reasons it ineffective because the moment it turns back the other two are already eating 😆 so reiterating what he says is true and the pace they are on they could be 2' each before Xmas! 😆

This guy is from the same batch as yours from PF- I was able to get some clear pics when I first turned the light on in the morning and he was still in sleep mode. Hoping it’s Brassi!

Nice Joe glad to see u got some Dorado ! How many did u get? They have a big ass head so that usually is a good sign of them being a brazi and the redness in the tail fin, but some more time is definitely necessary for 💯 id....

ID guide seem made up to me. I had Frankies and it didn't line up with the guide a bit.
These big eyes is not like the Frankies I had. Just saying.

Could be. Look all the changes with bagarius.
Small fish are a different puzzle entirely. Remember when Rich rkc772 rkc772 brought in small hydrolycus armatus and nobody could id until they got larger?

I guess we will see.

I have my doubts it's true brasiliensis. Just shows how little we all know.

Agree. Only time will tell.

Compared to my franciscanus
Check out the eyes and upper lip. Not the same. Can't wait to see what they turn out to be.

Guide seems made up? Where were you when it was being written? Sounds like we could have used your help.

Obviously I don't know....... So - IF your take on the sticky is that its made up IS your angle that there's just one species? DO we all have Frankies?
