This is the male partner of # 149 which is shown as # 30 in the other thread.
It was a no show yesterday, so I went back early this morning. The female was a no show this morning. I went after this one hoping it would be the bigger fish. With no other fish present it was hard to tell. This took three different lures to catch. Caught it only after I went back to the first lure used and waded in knee high water so I could drop the lure right on top of it.
This male is over 15 inches.
I thought it was actually 17 making it my # 31 monster. But the picture says maybe it's only around 16.
Could be the angle of the camera view. Oh well I guess I have to go after another one when I get back from vacation next week.

Trust me on this one, midnight. It wasn't quite 17 inches. True, it looks like it's at least 17 in the picture. However, I measured it twice and it wasn't close. Felt like there was no need to crimp the tail as it was too short to make it to 17.
Check out my latest post in the PB section. That one I'm sure is 17 but the picture makes it look like it may be, not big enough. Sometimes pictures are deceiving when judging the size of the fish. Can you imagine the controversy if I start posting weights instead of lengths.
Finally landed and fulfilled my wish for fishing success in 2007. Got # 31 and it's on the board in the PB section. Plus I managed to catch these two to boot. Final count for 2007 in 153.
That's it folks I'm done for PB fishing for 2007. Let them grow so I may catch 50 monster sized PB and 200 total next year.
