Happaned to me when I caught a rainbow trout on a x-rap..
I was all excited like it's my first fish, and instead of using the net I grabbed the line, the fish jumped in the air..
and pow..the front hook on the x-rap, right inside of my palm..the other guys said they can see the end of the hook wiggling from the otherside..
yeah, I love/hate barbless hooks..
The funny thing is the hook inside you is almost painless(unless the trout wiggles around, which my teacher took off after a minute.) and everybody tried to yank it out but nothing worked.. Also it hurts when you watch someone take the hook out of you..it doesn't when you look at the lake
After around 40min. I started getting a headache and hearing things..(later I learned that I was going in shock) and right after that I was like, **** it..and pulled it with barehands.. Came off, I felt MUCH better. If I waited 30 more seconds, I would of gone completely into shock and would have been to the hospital.
How did they pull yours out? Just literally pull it out after getting anesthetics? I was thinking they were going to cut my hand open or something..
and where were the Pacus at? We saw a big school in clear lake too, in the middle of the lakes surface
