Hello. I just bought 5# of pond matrix and would like to split it up in a couple mesh bags. I was going to buy plain white laundry bags but the ones I saw have zippers. They're made to be wet in the washer. Does anyone know if these would work?

Funny you asked. I have used them for all my matrix, which I have total of 8 bags. I have total of about 25 liters of matrix in my sump baged up with laundry bags.. I only used the pull string versions so not sure zipper ones will rush out in the long run.. have them about 2 yrs straight with 0 issues.. cleaning them are a breeze.. just pull them out and rinse with aquarium water..
I have some with zippers. The teeth are plastic. The pull is metal but doesn't seem to rust

A fish buddy of mine goes to the grocery stores and asks for onion bags(plastic and mesh). They just give it to him for free.
My ac110 came with onion bags. Haha

They sell these at walmart. I bought a handful of them today and got eyeballed by the cashier.
