Lava rocks in brackish tank???

1.006-1.016. I'd suggest somewhere around 1.011. What fish do you have? Some might have different salinity preferences.
I'm running 1.010 to 1.011, for the Mono sebae, Guppies and Mollies. The guppies are getting chewed on a bit and I may give them a "skybox" in my brackish tank.
But most hardy brackish fish like mine should tolerate a range of densities, and can adjust fast to small changes.
If you go on vacation and the density goes up some they won't care like a coral tank.
Just add fresh water to bring it to your normal density and do a change if desired.
(Mono sebae eventually become full salt, and mine will as well.)
