For a 250g container popping a net over it is about as easy of a fix as you are going to get.
And you can just as easily pop it off to enjoy your pond.
One other, more spendy route. You could cover it with a gazebo that has netting for mosquitoes. That would keep leaves out. Any sun loving pond plants might not appreciate it, but the leaf problem would be taken care of.
