I have seen both leaf fish species Polycentrus schomburgki and Monocirrhus mimophyllus and was wondering what the differences are between both species were such as size diet behavior

Don't know much about the first one the second one is whats known as the south american leaf fish generally they don't swim a hole lot and are difficult to get off of live foods

both NEED live foods,
acidic water, get to about the same size.
very hard to keep because they are very senstive and eat alot in a day.

I have a school of Polycentrus schomburkii. They are babies yet and I will try to breed them some time. They´re eating well, but only live food. Let´s see what hapens in the future...

I agree with this statement.

the South American leaf fish is notorious for not being weaned off live food, although if you have the committment, seems like a fish that can be bred in captivity (might be wrong though)
