Leaf Fish?

Does anyone have any experiences/stories with Leaf Fish?

My friend picked one up today. Wanted to know if anyone else has/had/likes them...

I have heard that they are very very picky eaters and also semi "depressive" in captivity. No an easy fish to keep healthy and active.

I guess he will have to occasionally throw in live food for the thrill of the kill then

He bought 3, they are in a 120 gallon with angelfish and discus.

yeah live is about the only thing I have personally seen them eat. Even with live they just will not eat sometimes and starve. This is not the case with every one though so best of luck. I almost got a few myself. very interesting fish.

i own 2. they only eat flakes. mine are very active.

Well, they are definitely predators. He purchased 10 smaller neon tetras this morning, and all 10 were gone within 4 minutes. They are hungry little buggers, and they are FAST.

He bought the tetras, because they did not respond to the frozen food this morning. Guess it is time to setup a guppy farm :-/

I wonder how often they will need to eat if they eat live food.
