I haven't but I really wanted one. The one I found was pretty expensive and there was another reason but for the life of me I can't remember why or what.

I didn't find my Cteno difficult to feed at ALL - he was an utter pig. He was CB though, so that may have factored in. They will eat smaller fish and their mouths are large compared to their body size so you have to watch what you put them with. Mine ended up harassing some larger bodied tetras later on so I had to separate them. Mine grew pretty quickly to 4" and then slowed down.
Mine absolutely loved hiding and stalking in the plants. Agreed on the ghost shrimp - really fun to watch them stalk them! Not sure if they "need" them but he definitely found enrichment with them.

I thought about it but their smaller size steered me away... I'd be curious how it would work with UJs and a larger specimen.
