leak from plywood tank

At 18" I wouldn't have guessed you to need bracing. Did you pour the epoxy thick or roll/brush it on. If it is a thin cout I bet the flexing was the problem, or one of your joints is loosening, how did you build the tank or is there a build thread? Possibly you could pour fillets in the corners to fix it.

I would atleast brace the top. The way most bigger tanks are. Or do an outer shell of bracing for a stronger support.

The build looks solid but I'm going to throw my .02 cents out and say that the back panel flexed over time and that's why you have a leak. Just my guess judging on the build thread. If that leaks dead in the middle I'm almost sure enough to bet that panel has a bow in it.

just because it leaks in the middle doesn't mean that's where it's coming out of the tank. Water has a way of migrating away from the source. If you don't find it the wood will rot and smell really bad. As far as gushing water that won't likely happen unless your seams are compromised. Anyway, I'd drain the tank and look for any possible leak places above where the water came out. Or just seal the entire tank again and paying more attention to the areas above the leak. I wouldn't do a partial drain and hope for the best. You want to fix it right instead of a band aide and a prayer.

That's my thoughts exactly my plan is to drain it and reseal that whole panel at least. Probably the whole thing. Nice to hear you don't think it will bust entirely onto the floor. That was my main concern
