Same as what K krichardson has said I worked in a lfs for a long while and we had it all there, tanks cracked and leaked we twice had front panels fall completely off (they was both very old tanks). On every occasion we took the tanks out the back of the shop resealed them and within a week they was back full of fish and ready for another 20 years abuse. A crack in the base isn't the end of a tanks life you just need a little work to fix it. Chances are it will come out stronger for it aswell.
