leaking Canister

I just bought a XP2 and 6 days after I hooked it up (today) I found about 6 gallons of water on my floor and t damn thing is leaking out of the power cord. Is this common? This is the first time I have bought a cannister filter and I have to say I am dissapointed!

Not that I know of. I have a Rena XP3 running for 1 month and so far so good. I have read many reviews on this filter and it received a 91% satisfaction rate out of 98 users of RENA FILSTAR XP. You could've gotten a defective unit. I would call Rena and request for another XP2 if I were you.
