So I took my python apart a few weeks ago bc I had a plant stuck in the green part that connects the siphon To the gravel vacuum. The part with the flow knob.

When I put everything back together it now leaks when I drain the tanks, only when draining not when refilling. I can see air bubbles getting into the draining water from the connector. I took it all apart again and tried to fix it but it still leaks.
Anyone have this problem? Know how to fix it?

Check to make sure the gasket is installed. If it's missing you can get replacements at your local hardware store.

I think fishguy1978 fishguy1978 was referring to where it connects to the faucet whereas Niki_up Niki_up , you are referring to the on/off valve that connects the hose to the gravel siphon, correct? A pic might be helpful.

Yes you are correct, I’m referring to the section with the on/off valve. See pic, sorry currently filling up my tank with it so I wasn’t able to take it apart

D deeda at each connection there are rubber gaskets not just at the faucet.

Thanks for both the pic and the clarification on the rubber gaskets, it's been so long since I had a Python I forgot all the bits and pieces.

I'm assuming it just takes garden hose gaskets/washers?

After replacing the washer/gasket I personally would wrap the thread on the end of the connection with a little Teflon tape plumbers use.
