Leaping Manta Rays

They are actually mobula rays that are very similar to the mantas, the biggest difference being size. These are approximately 3' across. There is not much known about them.
I have this article somewhere. The author/photographer was driving along the coast on the Sea of Cortez when he looked out and saw them.
He actually paddled his kayak out among them.
I will post it if I can find it again.
