This was a very fun start to Monster Fish Month!!! I talked about the freshwater wolffish aka Hoplias! Find out about the different species of Hoplias wolffish, how big each one gets, what I like about them, and keeping them in home aquarium! Also I show videos of each of the species I mentioned so you can see what they looked like. Be sure to check it out!!! Post any questions on the wolffish in the comments... enjoy!

Cool vid.. good points to direct new owners.. although I might say some of us have/had wolf cohabs...my friend has an airmara, mala, and Curupira in the same tank..which is a huge risk.. I do believe with wolves it’s more of the individual fish..personally I think the Reds are the most aggressive pound for pound..this was my tank before I sold them to make room for my Serras...

Awesome glad to see you liked the video!
I can't wait to keep my first wolffish once I get a bigger tank for my current fish.

Great video!
I'd be cautious about cohabitating aimara just bc how big they get. I've seen some massive ones in China and Japan that could probably eat a mala or curu with one bite.

Yes but I have researched them. Came close to owning one but decided to get piranhas instead.
My dad has kept them though. Many of them he raised a common one to close to 18'' before it jumped out.

I’ve watched your vid a few times while debating about getting a mala, I finally pulled the trigger this afternoon
Did they get along good? I have a gold solo in a 120 and I’m debating about adding the mala when it arrives or giving it its own tank
