Learning Another Language

I am looking into learning another language (German). Any opinions on this? Does anyone know of any PC software that helps, im looking at Rosetta Stone but its hell expensive! All comments are appreciated

Why German? We have a villa in Spain next to a German family, everything sounds aggressive lol but at least then you can undertsand the words to Rammstein.
