usually the settings are on each image.
I asked bcuz I have the same camera & it's more complicated than I expected. haven't bought a flash unit. the pop-ups are cheezy.
which mode did u use for fish?
I messed with my settings & *@#@*!!!
did you use a tripod?
the eyes are in focus, which is the main thing on animals.
and I thought it was funny/cool that the scratches came out so crisp. LOL hahahaha.
At least your fish isn't too fast. my Geos are always moving around, totally frustrating w/camera.
but hey, seeing someone succeed with my cam model was inspiring. maybe I'll pick it up again for fish.
I used S mode, easiest to get good shots by controlling the ratio between ISO and shutter speed (from what I've seen); too little light - up iso or up shutter, blurry - reduce shutter, up iso. The camera is very good at delivering ok photos at high iso values. Manual focus when autofocus fails (never focuses on the mouth of platydoras, always the forehead).
Photo 1: f = 5.6, 1/40sec, ISO 1000, 105mm
Photo 2: f = 5.6, 1/40sec, ISO 1000, 105mm
Photo 3: f = 5.6, 1/40sec, ISO 1000, 105mm
Photo 4: f = 5.6, 1/40sec, ISO 1000, 105mm
Photo 5: f = 5.6, 1/100sec, ISO 1000, 105mm
Photo 6: f = 5.6, 1/50sec, ISO 640, 105mm
No flash on any of them.
Handheld as I can't use a tripod as the tank is right next to my bed. These photos are after around 1000 practice shots. Crystal clear water helps a lot (eheim 2260 on a 20 gallon).
Thank you for the kind words
JML1997 - thanks.
