Here are my cheap sumps and the overflows that I made.
Drawer $15 Kmart
Biobale $20 LFS
pump $50 online
plastic container $10 Kmart
homemade overflow and plumbing $40

Being so tight that you would spend $135 and use 5 hours planning and shopping and 3.5 hours manufacturing: PRICELESS!

I call it "pride" not "tight"

One sump handles the two small (30g and 44g) tanks and the other is for the 125g.

true. very true.
However I wanted to hide heaters, pumps and other equiptment. ---and add more total water volume and not have to keep up on evaporation filling, as often.
I think I will use the over tank on the new grow out tank that I am putting together now.

I don't have much trouble with evaporation on mine. I wish I had a non-tempered 10 gallon tank that I could turn into my new filter. The 5 gallon bucket is too tall.
