Least Favorite Tank Size

4' high and only 2' wide??? That would look ridiculous imo
A friend of mine has a 6' x 3.5' or so H x 20" W glass tank, looks very weird plus he is very limited to stock
I like all tanks, just a matter of finding the right fish to put in them. If I have to pick my least favorite size it is the standard 55g because of the 12" width. If you are going to commit 4' to a tank a 75g offers so many more options for stocking. My biggest pet peeve is that it is so hard to find tanks that have a 24" or greater width.

Same here, biggest tank on Craigslist here is 240, going to have to build or get custom made..
What I noticed is Florida and California and Arizona have many monster tanks for sale there, many over 3' wide

Like said above 55 would be my least favorite
all the other dimensions are rendered useless by the 12in width. I also once had 65 with the same issue 48" by 12" by 25". Its ridiculous for a tank of that size to have more height then width. it was such a pain to work around with stocking, I'm very glad to have gotten rid of that thing.

I had a friend that had a six foot tank that was only twelve inches wide, I had a five footer that was sixteen inches wide. Both were 24" tall. The only thing that saved them was they were both meta frame classics. I don't know if he still has his, I moved. My brother's ex wife stole mine.

for me I guess, despite owning one, i'm not a fan of Hexagon, Pentagon or Octagon tanks......just screws with my vision too much - it's like looking in an Amusement Park's Mirrors-of-Madness Funhouse
Have to go with you on that one. I have a 20g half moon not only is it funky to look at it is pretty useless. Don't tell my wife I said that it was a xmas present a few years ago.

yea man I got a Hex that's like a 25g or 30g and my friend had one that was a 45g or a 50g and it was cool, but you could never REALY see the fish as you should be able to truly appreciate them I a rectangle or a cube tank. Round and cylinder or even semi- or quarter-circles are a LITTLE different for me, at least I like them better, but still not a huge fan. My does however have a 65g Quarter-Circle corner tank and he has it SW w/ live-rock and Damselfish and stuff like that and it does look really nice
