Um after they get used to it, I tend to still use buckets so I can treat the water before, and I see no stress, if anything they love swimming in the water flowing in from the buckets. (IE instead of using a python.)

i use 1.5" diameter airline tubing connected to a pump sitting in a vat of fresh RO water with DE added to it for mineralization.

I use 2 gal. per hour drip. :D

Show off ;)

I use a piece of hose to a bucket, before all the problems started the discus would follow it around and peck at it is if it was food.

Then trickle 1/2 a bucket at a time back in, again before the problems they used to love swimming around under it

is that necessary? cant you just treat the water after the tank is filled?

Personal preference , either works, I'd treat before hand

As said, either way if fine. But this way I can make sure the temp is right, and well I don't have to treat 135 gallons... Plus I can keep my filtration on.
