LED lighting recommendations

Dsuny is another quite cheap chinaled that works perfectly IMO. I have three daisychained and im really happy with em. I think they are slightly more expensive than marsaqua. Viparspectra is the same as marsaqua but a little more fancy and comes with wificontroll.

I actually replaced my beamswork with a Current and I’m really happy with it. The timed controls are perfect for what I need. Fluval’s lights are pretty good too. Ive used a marine&reef on one of my tanks for a couple of years now. But they can be pretty expensive.

Thx for the feed back guys. Satellite makes a good light especially for the price. Im not sure if this will make sense but.... we like to mess around with the colors a bit and imo theres not enough colored leds. So any custom colors only really show up when the lights are dimmed. Increasing the brightness effectively makes most spectrums look the same.

I figured i would need multiple for my tank. Now i see they have 300w and even 600w lights but are branded as
grow lights... same functionality?

Im in no rush, not planning on buying anything right away.

Now as far as cheap knockoffs go I like viva grow 24/7's. They work great and have tons of adjustments. They are like finnex 24/7.

Here's one on a vivariums. They're good for 24" H visual wise but wouldnt trust to grow decent light plants at that depth

This is good stuff. Possibly just the right time for my new tank. This stuff is relatively cheap!

I wasn’t familiar with the 300 and 600w so I checked them out. They’re full spectrum but used to grow plants and vegetables. My first thought was that if it’s growing plants, it may give you algae problems with that bright of lights...now if you like to change the colors, I built my own customizeable led light from the king of diy (before his channel became useless) and it worked perfectly to give you any color of the spectrum. The only reason I took it down is I bought cheap led’s and they faded really quick.

I need to find some details on this light. I do enjoy my Finnex 24/7 lights though. They are simply awesome, but these look nicer for hanging over a tank.

What details do you need? I have an instruction booklet, par readings, blue vs white percentages, & a few others.

I don't know much about planted tanks, but this is going to be for soft & lps if an angel doesn't eat them.

I will say at 10-12"off the top I might need a 3rd on a 6ft x 2ft tank
