Great! I just got in 3 of the wrong color, too. I'm going to call them right now. I look forward to this conversation. :irked:
WTF is up with this guy? :wall: I should just file a claim with my CC right now, use the yellow one I got for lighting under my tank's stand :D

Well, I called them, got a lady on the phone. She said that they will be sending me the right ones. Didn't say anything about being out of stock. I like their return policy::grinno:
Return Policy:

We cannot accept returns for any reason after 1 month from the date of sale. Buyer must pay return shipping charges UNDER ALL Circumstances, Even if the item is defective. Seller will promptly ship the new one at NO charge. We do not provide any refunds at all. In extremely rare cases, if we do decide to provide refund, there will be 20% restocking fee and the refund will be store credit only. We will rather not make a sale, than having problems later on. Short-shipments, DOA (Dead on Arrival) and deviations products must be reported within 5 days from delivered date. Returned items must not have any signs of abuse or intentional damage. To obtain repair or replacements, please return item, with the order number or EBay item number and your User ID.
We guarantee your 100% satisfaction.

I ordered white. I even put a message at the end of the order for them to MAKE SURE they send me white. They sent yellow. They want ME to pay return shipping? I don't think so. This guy has a potential gold mine with us fishkeepers, and he seem to be effin it up with every move he makes...

Yeah screw that. I am not paying return shipping when they purposely sent me the wrong item, and tried to act like I wouldn't mind. If they want the light back, they can cover the shipping. Otherwise, they can argue it out with my credit card company.

Good stuff! I'm still not sure how many I'll need over my 190g. Dimensions are 60x30x24...
I'd go with the 30w or 50w; or two 10w's at 1 foot or 2 foot intervals. I think you like your tanks brighter than me so that still may not be enough 10w's. You could also combine the different watts, 30/50w in the center with 10w's on the end's to cover any shadow area's.

I think they are purposely sending the wrong color instead of saying it's on backorder. The guy told me they were expected in a contianer in the next week or so. He wanted off the phone and the more I talked to him the more full of it he sounded.

they did send me a return shipping label. He was worried I was going to fill a dispute with paypal. "No need to file dispute, I'll give you exchange" that's when he went from saying he'll send the right lights priority mail to we don't have them, then he offered the refund. He's probably on the verge of losing his credit card or paypal options. I decided to keep the lights for my driveway. I should go by some cheap blub from him on ebay so I can leave neg feedback.

The other ebay link guy already shipped so I should have them by next thursday.

Yeah I'm actually going for a lower light tank for the 190g, since it will be a wild discus biotope. Now that I've gotten them used to the one LED floodlamp, they'll flee under the driftwood if I turn on the T5HO. So I'm thinking 4 of the 10w floodlamps should give me the light I want, sorta like this, but on a bigger footprint

And I'll give these guys till mid next week. If I don't have a shipping confirmation, I'm filing a dispute with my CC, which will do a chargeback with Paypal, which will screw him over. I'll then get that 4-pack from eBay, provided the guy can send the right color :D

Much to my surpirse and joy I come home friday night to find my new lights waiting for me. UPS could learn a few tricks from USPS on delivering from Cali to MD. It's takes UPS 7 days and USPS 3 days!

First the 4 pack guy sent the correct color. The lights are a little different, they were not individually boxed and there was no color identification on the light. The two biggest differences are the cord is about 2 feet opposed to 6 inches. The reflectors are different and not as fancy as the yellow lights (left) but they seem to work just fine. And I dropped one of the new lights down the stairs, about 7 feet straight drop and bounced on to tile and it still worked.

This one floored me, I took the light apart to try and figure out the color scheme and found the gorund wire is not connected. It looks like the driver doesn't need it. they did leave the ground wire on both ends unstripped.

Here are three 10w on a 125g

Here are four 10w on a low light planted 72g

I used a different camera and what you see is pretty acurate to what I was seeing as far as light levels are concerned. What I think will work for me 3 lights on a 125g, 2 lights on 55-90g, 180 (24" deep) 1 light per foot. I still need to test but for 30" deep I think will require 2 lights per foot. I might try the 30w's for the 30" deep tank. I'm keeping 4 lights on the 72g planted, hopefully that will be enough for the plants.

I put to of the yellow's on my driveway and they work great. A little dimmer than the two 150w halogens but still all the light I need when going form car to house.

Nice. I sent mine back already. They sent me a return label, too. We'll see how long it takes to get the right ones.

Attach the ground wire to the inside of the box, and the other end to the ground on the plug. That way if there is ever a short to the metal box, you will at least be protected if you touch it.

Good stuff. They look to be just as good as the yellow ones. Does the brightness seem the same to you?

As for that bare ground wire, it reminds me of this lol

They actually seem a bit brighter, but they may be because of the white light. Tonight I wire up the last yellow and do a side by side.
